My name is Chelsea and sometimes I feel like I'm part reptile because of how much I enjoy the heat. I enjoy video games, origami, photography, writing, and I just might be addicted to television. I plan on being a director someday. Films, commericals, music videos; whatever, they're all fun to make. I like a lot of different kinds of music, but I'm not arrogant enough to pretend that I listen to absolutely everything. My preferences range from 50's jazz and lounge to 90's alternative rock to punk to metalcore, but for the most part I dislike country and rap except for German rap and hip/hop. I'm not always the nicest person in world, but I try my damn hardest to be a decent person.

I found this man on 7th Avenue in Park Slope. He was leaning heavily on his cane, looking down, wearing a grimaced face. I felt bad for him, so I smiled and waved when I walked past. His face changed completely. He lit up, smiled wide, and gave me a cheery greeting. There was nothing forced about it. He seemed like a man who went through life looking for the smallest excuses to be happy.I walked 50 feet down the sidewalk, turned around, and walked back to him. “I want to take your photo,” I told him, “because of how big you smiled when I walked by.”He said: “Well I saw someone smiling at me who I didn’t even know. So I thought: ‘By God! I Better do something!’”

^This woulda been my grandpa.

Though I don’t do this often, I feel like I should take the time to profusely and sincerely state that I am so, so sorry for this.
